Mexico Declares Hurricane State of Emergency In Baja

Is Global Warming real? If it is, it’s happening here. The satelitte image looks fancy but doesn’t really tell that much of a story. Hurricanes Felix (Atlantic) and Henriette (Pacific) created history with a couple of ‘firsts’. It’s the first time that two hurricanes from both oceans have made landfall on the same day.

It’s also the first time that two Category 5 hurricanes have made landfall in the same year. And Hurricane Dean has only just left! Dean was the third most powerful hurricane to have ever made landfall. There were warnings that this year was going to be very active for hurricanes, and so far that has proven to be an understatement.
