Museo de la Ciudad de Mexico

I can’t believe it’s taken me all these years to get around to visiting this museum. If you’ve followed my blog much, you’ll have noticed that I quite like museums – there can’t be many left in the city for me to visit. I’ve read about it, but never quite worked out where it was. Turns out it’s just a few minutes walk from the Zocalo, although it is a direction less trod. Still…I’ve made it at last. It’s really worth a visit. At the moment they have a Rivera exhibition – like many other places around DF currently commemorating the anniversary of Diego Rivera’s death. They also have a room full of bizarre ‘junk’ that looks like it should be at a cheap antiques fair. Plus some typically grand colonial architecture. Definitely worth a visit. Want to find it in less time than it took me? Walk in the direction of Metro Pino Suarez from the Zocalo. It’s about 10 minutes along on your left!
