I’ve blogged about this before, but many years ago now. The little link us Brits have with Pachuca, a smallish town to the north of Mexico City. Cornish miners came and went, but left behind little icons of Englishness. Football being the most obvious – it was indeed the English, not the Spanish who brought the Beautiful Game to the Beautiful Country. Cornish Pasties are still here too, although they have somewhat evolved.
I haven’t been to Pachuca yet, but hopefully I’ll get to pay it a visit sooner or later. Till then I can only pass on another person’s story, from Inside Mexico. A rather cool site I recently discovered.
