The goal for all the players at DMU, is to have the photo they enter sent to the Lightbox. Which is simply a group that only winners can join to add…well, their saved photos. I’ve had about two dozen photos up for voting and critique so far, with just two sent to the Lightbox with ten saves. It’s tough. There’s plenty of good shots that don’t make it – the ethos is that only the best of the best get voted ‘save’.
It’s a real learning experience though. Both seeing what others are managing to produce, and some of the comments on my and other peoples photos. I’ve created a gallery of the finest Lightbox entrants of recent weeks which you can see here, just to give you an idea of the standard required. The image below is a smaller version of it.
