My current camera is an Olympus Pen E-PL1, which replaced the Panasonic Lumix FZ35 and Fuji HS10 which I briefly owned this year, and I’ve been very happy with it. I also have a Panasonic Lumix TZ5. Being a virtually fully automatic camera it does have some limitations, and there are instances where my very old Coolpix 8700 could get a better shot, particularly in low light and using macro. But for the most part it produces some great images, and having a 10x zoom lens unit that fits in a pocket is worth the sacrifice. Besides, I am discovering ways to get better results from it every day.
I have three photographic/video presences on the internet. Firstly there is my Flickr account, with well over 5,000 photos uploaded. I also have a video blog on Vimeo where I save all my short and often rather substandard movies. Thirdly I have a 365 blog, where uploaded a photo a day for a year, and finished on 18th October 2009. I am currently using this blog to collect portraits of people I know and meet in Mexico during my final year in the country.
