I surely do know. I keep up with the tech world mostly via Mashable, Lifehacker, Engadget and Dave Winer. All via Google Reader. Which will soon die. And is another reason I find Google so infuriating.

I’m convinced she’ll be successful. She ‘gets’ it. Former CEOs, particularly Carol Bartz, clearly didn’t get it. You can’t force a failed business model to work.

But nonetheless, I don’t entirely trust Mayer. For a start, she’ll do whatever she wants with Tumblr, regardless of any promises she makes.

I don’t mind the space between the photos, they still show well, but I do agree about the text on the banner.

Now if Yahoo could only scrap its Groups and rebuild them from scratch into a modern model. The present one reminds me of CompuServe 1995.

You surely know that Yahoo’s new CEO, Marissa Mayer, is from Google. She seems to be shaking up Yahoo in a good way. I’ve always felt that Yahoo had many good properties, but had left them to wither a bit. Now under Mayer the company is getting better.

I think this bodes well for Yahoo users all around.

I was just looking at this on someone’s Twitter site. This looks like it makes sense to me. I gave up on flickr early on because i had trouble figuring it out. I think I can do this. I wish we didn’t have dinner guests tonight. I want to get at this.
