Day of the Dead Decorations

Its that time of year again, and the skeletons are coming out of the closets and onto display. While the rest of the world celebrates Halloween, Mexico celebrates Day of the Dead, and decorates the country with traditional skeleton and paper decor and not so traditional bits and pieces such as pumpkins and witches. I’ve taken a few snaps recently of street sellers and cafes…

People also give eachother cards with witty little messages on the front, and their own thoughts on the back. Very bizarre! Here was the first I received this year! It means something along the lines of ‘dear fiance, we were going to marry, but now death has taken you’…nice rip
