Visit Mexico…in London

Is there a better museum than London’s British Museum? Not in my opinion. Without doubt the finest collection of loot artifacts ‘purchased’ from around the world. The most famous exhibts might be the Rosetta Stone and Sphinx’s beard from Egypt, and the ever controversial Elgin marbles from Greece, but they have a Mexican Gallery too that is worth the trip up the stairs. I last went in January 2005 to show my Mexican gf all the stuff we nicked!

There’s plenty of stuff there, from Aztecs to Toltecs, Maya to Mixtecs. Mexico has so much history that you’d need to spend months or years in the country itself to do more than scratch at the surface, but if £430 airfare is too much, and your boss seems reluctant to give you such an extended vacation, then the British Museum is probably the next best thing!
