A Violent Map

I’ve switched onto Netvibes recently, and oneof the featured feeds is for WorldMapper, which churns out some interesting lookig pics. For each different category, various countries get bloated or shrunk according to the number of whatever it is they are measuring. It isn’t as scientific as tables full of numbers but it does paint some interesting contrasts. The map below is for violent deaths in 2002 – murder and manslaughter but not war. So where are you going on holiday this summer anyway? Anyway, Mexico doesn’t look as bad on this map as the numbers in the report I recently quoted from!
