The Angel with a twist…

Today I set off to the angel of Independence, determined to at last go up inside it to the balcony at the top. I’m convinced it’s a great vantage point to take a few snaps. I’ve tried before, but always seem to get there at five past two in the afternoon – just too late for the last group of the day.

I got there at 1 o’clock today, in plenty of time. Only to discover they let people up only on Saturdays. Bastards. Still, I took a few photos – but that’s getting boring now. I must have a hundred photos of the angel from every angle. So I played around with today’s shot in Photoshop and then Auto FX Photographic Edges.

The latter is new to me, and seems to be a great program. You might have noticed that I’ve rather taken to framing or ‘edging’ my blog photos lately. I’ve been using Corel Paint Shop Pro for that, but there’s not that many frames or edges to choose from. Auto FX has literally thousands. Over 10,000 anyway, so I can’t complain about lack of choice now.
