Last year I wrote a post about Equator, a BBC TV series featuring the excellent Simon Reeve travelling around the world along, funnily enough, the equator. It was a really brilliant three part show, one that I must have watched about five times. At least. Mostly because I used it in English classes…

Well, Señor Reeve is back with a new show, this time a four parter as he does the same sort of thing around the Tropic of Capricorn. Not an entirely new theme, but who cares. A good show is a good show. I’m just so pleased I now have my iPod to watch it on! If it is half as good as Equator, then it’s definitely worth watching out for. If you don’t live in the UK and want to see it, there is a way – short of waiting about a year for it to be shown on BBC World!. But you’ll have to send me an email to ask how.
