Jacaranda Season

I think I must post every year how much I like Spring in Mexico City. It’s pleasantly warm and dry and then there are the amazing Jacaranda trees which cover the city in a cloak of lilac. It’s coming to an end now, and the rainy season appears to have started early, but there are still plenty of the Jacaranda blooms in the trees. Enough for me to be able to photo a few of them!

Still, as nice as spring is, the pollution has been terrible this year and the rains are, just for once, reasonably welcome. It’s the only way to clean the air enough to be able to breathe properly! It’s just a shame that the rains come in the afternoon which is my favourite time to go riding on my bike!
