Three Years In Mexico

This week has been a week of anniversaries. Three years ago on Saturday, I finished my last day at Texaco after 10 years working for the company. Three years ago yesterday I left England from London Heathrow – that was the last time I saw the green grass and grey skies of the UK. And three years ago today I arrived in Mexico City. Which was the most memorable anniversary. It was, of course, three years ago on Sunday when Liverpool came from 3-0 down to win the European Cup!

I had been to Mexico before, in 2003, when I spent a couple of months backpacking around the country. I thought I’d do a little map to show where I’ve put my little paws on Mexican soil over the years. Well, the main places anyway! I haven’t got much left to see to be honest. Well, not much stuff that I really want to see. The monarch butterflies in Hidalgo (or is it Morelia?), Zacatecas, Real de Catorce and most of all Baja California. One day…
