I try to keep up to date with most things that are happening in Mexico City, but I almost missed this. The International Motorshow of Mexico starts on Saturday and lasts for just over a week till it closes it’s doors on October the 5th. It’s only because one of my students mentioned it that I know it’s even on.
It wasn’t easy to find on the web either! Well, it only took about 5 minutes, but I use keywords on Google pretty effectively to find what I want, and it usually takes about 5 seconds. Mas o menos! Even the website of the venue, Centro Banamex, had no details. Things this big shouldn’t be so difficult to find on the net! I did eventually find the official SIAM website though.
Wikipedia had an article about Salón Internacional del Automóvil México, but had nothing more than ‘it returns in 2008’ for this years show. So I jolly well logged in to my Wiki account and updated the page – my first ever Wikipedia contribution!
Anyway, hopefully I will go on Saturday afternoon after my class and get some good photos!
