To say that it’s quiet on the railways is something of an understatement. We had a train yesterday with just one passenger on it. Just one. He was removed by the police and ejected from the station. He was intending to go to London for a day trip, just for the hell of it. Not essential travel. The train departed with no one on board. 

Should the passenger have been allowed to travel?Yes. He’s paid his fare and is no danger when he is the only person on the train.No. Rules are rules, and apply to everyone.
