My thought of the day. A lot of focus at the moment is on the environments positive reaction to mankind suddenly disappearing indoors. There are some good before and after photos showing how the smog has cleared from urban skies. But what about that other big issue? This year, there will be a massive decrease In the amount of fossil fuels burned to produce energy. I assume so, anyway. Flights are grounded. Factories closed or running at a fraction of their normal pace. The roads are empty. The railway tracks are seeing less than half their traffic.

Will this show up in temperature data over the next few years?
