Vote Him Away

The Russian Presidency inside the White House in Washington didn’t get off to a great start with The Chinese Flu. Catastrophic, one might say. And from there, it has been all down hill ever since. Prior to Covid-19, most of the crises were of Trump’s own making, and of minimal impact. People brushed it off. Some of the crises had huge constitutional impacts. But still they brushed them off. Because, you know. Hilary’s emails. 

When the real, major crisis came, there can be no turning of blind eyes or brushing his deficiencies under the carpet. This is the point when reality must be faced. The man is utterly incompetent. Completely incapable. Worse, he is a liability. This is the lightbulb moment when it becomes clear that Trump is not simply the worst president that the US has ever had, but one to put alongside the Neros of history.

The embarrassing thing for those final few ‘rational minded’ supporters of Trumpski, is that what is so obvious to them now was obvious to the rest of the world many, many years ago. But you know…better late to the party than never. I suspect that in a decade or so, we’ll have the reverse of the Kennedy syndrome. You know, how everyone claimed they voted for JFK in 60? Polls in 2030 will suggest Clinton won at least 100 million of the 120 million votes in 2016. We’ll refer to the switchers as Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers.

How about 2020. My money is on Biden. But will there be any support for Trump? Of course. Rednecks and white supremecists. That’s all that’s left. That’s the harsh truth.
