The Travel Bug

What are you missing in lockdown life? For me, it’s the ability to sit and have a coffee in Starbucks. To go to the cinema at the weekend. To pop up to London on the train for a day trip. To browse through travel books in the basement of my local Waterstones. And, of course, to go travelling.

I’m having to get my kicks watching other people travelling. There’s a ton of shows in this category, ranging from the downright dreadful to the utterly brilliant. BBC2′s Race Across the World is in the latter class. Excellent entertainment, and it (season 2) starts in Mexico City to boot.
