Poole Bay
Our stroll today took us along the edge of Poole Bay. The tide was low and a half dozen people were out searching for submerged shellfish. I knew Poole Bay mussels are reasonably famous. I had no idea you could just stroll around plucking them out of the sand. Each person had nets and tubs absolutely full of cockles, whelks, clams and whatever else lives there. Just how legal or safe this is, I’m not too sure.
Nonetheless, I’ve stored this knowledge away in the memory bank so that Mrs P and I will have a means of surviving the forthcoming famine.
