If there is one overwhelming scourge that plagues Mexico City, it is graffiti. It is everywhere. Anything that can be painted on is painted on, and usually it is artless crap – a name or tag or whatever they call it. Bring back the stocks for the swines! But having said that, some graffiti really can give a dull wall some life. If it’s applied by someone who is trying to create as opposed to someone who is effectively cocking his leg to mark his territory.

I dare say that the first photo I linked to was a paid job, but there are other examples which aren’t – but I don’t have photos for them! But how about the graffiti in the photo below? How cool is that? I’m assuming a lick of paint isn’t going to do the snail any harm. Maybe it will even scare off a few predators! Original photos are here.
