Every year I make the same post. For the same reason. The Jacaranda trees are blooming and painting a vivid splash of lavender across the grey of the city. It’;s dry. And warm. It’s my favourite time of year.
The jacarandas are one of the things I love about DF. There are streets in Condesa which end up covered with fallen flowers, creating a purple carpet. Lovely.

Where we are still waiting for the crocuses which should show up in 3-4 more weeks.
I remember crocuses. And snowdrops. Bluebells too, although you have to look for them. Seems such a long time ago now! I’ll stick with the Jacarandas, for one more year at least!

I wish they were easier to photograph! They really paint the city purple in places, but the camera never quite captures what the eye can see…
