It’s nice when a photo turns out exactly as you hoped it would. I’ve run it through Photoshop a little, and the final result came out just right. In my opinion anyway. I’ve really enjoyed my Fuji HS10, but I’ve made a decision. If things work out, I’ll soon be selling it and picking up the new Panasonic FZ100 which just got a pretty decent review on Photography Blog.
Like most of the new compacts that have ditched CCD sensors for MOS sensors, the image quality at high ISO has come under a bit of criticism, but I’ve found with the Fuji that the image stabilisation and lens quality has improved so much that it’s perfectly possible to take better shots with a lower ISO and thus avoid the noise problem. You do need to select the settings for shots more carefully though, and it’s easier to come away with a memory card full of ‘mistakes’. The plus points of a CMOS sensor, for me anyway, far outweigh the negatives.

Your photos are always terrific amigo!

Gracias! Although I do tend to delete an awful lot of crappy photos to get the one or two that made it worthwhile taking a camera out in the first place!
