Come for a Walk
You in lockdown too? Of course you are. We all are. Are you permitted to go out for exercise at all? No? That’s tough. Well, why not come along on my walk. It’ll take just a minute. One lap around Meyrick Park. Which is essentially a lot of woodland surrounding a golf course. There is a rugby club in the middle. And a patch where the heroin addicts hang out, in a clear violation of the current lockdown rules.
Along the way you’ll see such marvels as a Ford Zephyr, an old railway bridge and a burned out scooter which has been dumped there within the last couple of days. There’s even a sign on a fence put up by the Land Sheriffs to deter people from venturing onto the railway tracks. People have been known to gain access to the tracks along here and jump in front of trains.
I’m not actually sure what a Land Sheriff is and I have no idea what the punishment is for those who break the rules and kill themselves. Given that people continue to do this, I’d suggest the penalties clearly aren’t harsh enough.
