The Beetle

The VW bug is no as common a sight on British roads as it is on Mexican streets. We had the Mini as our chief peoples car, which had a brand image that was a lot less Hitlery than the Beetle. But there were always a few Beetles about, along with the Citroen 2CV and Fiat 500s. This example is as old as yours truly. The old L reg plate shows that this was a 1972 model*. That’s quite a price for it, but it did look pretty mint inside and out.

I’m also pondering to switching my photo aspect ratio from 16:9 to 3:2. Both formats have merit. The former suits viewing on my widescreen telly. The latter retains more of the original image.
