Last tonight – or early this tomorrow morning, depending on your way of thinking – the clocks went back. The railway switched to the Leaf Fall timetable a couple of weeks ago, which means trains leave five minutes early. This, of course, is because autumn has properly replaced summer and billions of red, brown and yellow leaves have fallen from the skies and turned to mulch on the rails. The temperature has noticeably dropped recently too. Everything is changing. Including my little blog. It’s been years since I changed the theme. But I’ve dressed it up in a new coat, ready for winter.
The change is English subtle.

Things are simpler this morning. The clocks went back ‘yesterday’.

They did here in Mexico, as well. The States and Canada lag behind a week in the Fall. Two weeks in Spring. Flying schedules during those three weeks can be traps for the unwary.
