I used to sell photos on a regular basis when I lived in Mexico. Mostly via Flickr. These days, sales are few and far between. I don’t upload photos to Flickr anymore, but I do post to 500px and every now and then I get a sale. It seems to be the same four or five shots selling over and over again, for anything from $0.01 to $23. I don’t get the rational behind the differing amounts for the same photos, but the payments are not sizeable enough to warrant much of my time working it out. Who buys them? Marketing companies in China seem to like my stuff. Australians too.
Today I sold the photo above, which is the first time it’s been sold. Who bought it? The Donald J Trump Library. Specifically, https://www.trumplibrary.gov. The photo was titled ‘Trump the Violator’ by me. But has been referenced as ‘Britain Trump Supporters’ by the purchaser. Whatever. Just show me the money, as they say. But hey, one of my photos has made it into a presidential library.
How much did it sell for? I wouldn’t normally say. But it’s Trump. He’d want me to brag. So I’ll tell you. The princely sum of 15,000 roubles. I’ll try not to spend it all at once…
I love this post. Info I couldn’t get anywhere else. Nice shot with the ‘roubles’ denomination, no net as we say in American basketball.

It is always opposite day with the fascists. Buying a clearly anti Trump photo and giving it a rebranding for the ages. That crew would have been so ‘at home’ in Germany during the 1930s.
