This photo has grown on me. I think it is my favourite of the photos I took in the Zocalo at the Bicentenario Party. I’ve seen a better collection of photos from the Zocalo though. The official government sponsored set. Course, he or she had better access than I did! Probably better equipment too. And maybe, just maybe, a little bit more talent. Click here to check them out.

Gary,
Agree on the “blue girl”.. DEFINITELY turning to the darkside as film costs would have been well over the top, and I’d be eating gruel for a month!! Two photos (last on pg8 and first on pg9) need to be sent to Richard L. (Gangs of San Miguel) as PROOF that the “Hat Gang” has defected to DF and is really thriving! π π π Great set of photos! Mexico is the only place I would take an umbrella to a fireworks display – Sheesh! they don’t half set them off low there! Once again – a thoroughly enjoyable coverage of a historic event.. Well Done!

You wouldn’t have gotten far with your brolly! Tripods were ok, but all brollies got confiscated when entering the Zocalo!
Funnily enough, I’ve long been looking at getting an old film camera to play with. And since my latest acquisition, I’ve been thinking of a more traditional Olympus Pen! Maybe one day….
But I wouldn’t swap from digital full time. The Dark Side is a powerful friend!
