I don’t sell many photos these days. In fact, I don’t sell any photos these days. It’s been a year at least since the last one. Maybe two. I used to sell a handful each year, almost entirely through Flickr. It was never my biggest source of online income, but the half dozen or so shots that I flogged in a good year added some useful pennies to my bank account.
But I may have sold the one below. I say may, because I haven’t received the cash yet. Never count one’s chickens till they hatch. But I live in hope. Does anyone care to play a guessing game? A point for the person who can name the artist. Two points if you can name the location you’d find this mural. No clicking on the image through to Flickr though. That’s cheating.

Guessing it’s from some mural in D.F. Siqueiros? Orozco? Deffo not Rivera!

Your guess is correct! Which guess is correct though? I’ll leave you guessing…!

Definitely Siqueiros. But I have no idea where it might be located. I would love to know. It looks like a great place to shoot.

Siqueiros it is. Where? I’ll give it another day to see if anyone can get it.

The Bellas Artes Palacio! The way you captured this is really remarkable, though. Hope you get paid for this.

It’s not Bellas Artes! It’s location is far more obscure.

I would guess that it’s a portion of the Siqueiros murals at the Poliforum in D.F.

On closer inspection, I’m not so sure. It doesn’t appear to be 3-dimensional as Poliforum murals are.

The Poliforum is another good guess. But as your closer inspection suggested, it’s just wide of the mark. But I have been to the Poliforum, although it took me years to get around to it… https://www.flickr.com/photos/garydenness/sets/72157624559631109/
It did take a bit of effort to track this set of murals down. They really are off the beaten track. Or on track for the beaten. Perhaps I should offer a second cryptic clue. If I said that these murals aren’t to be sneezed at, I’d be wrong.

Hmmm. So they are to be sneezed at. I know they aren’t the murals on the School of Medicine at UNAM. Those are by some other artist. Could they be at the medical school at some other university?

You’re getting warmer with medicine. But colder with education….

Then I would have to guess either a government building belonging to the “seguro social”, or a hospital.
By the way, I really like your quiz. At the risk of being labeled a copycat, I’m going to dig out an old photo of mine, post it on my blog, and see if anyone can identify it.

You’re almost there. The location of these murals is…Hospital La Raza. Not far from the Monument La Raza. On Insurgentes if I remember rightly.

Wow, my friend in Mexico City should have got into this quiz. I know he’s mentioned doctors’ appointments at La Raza, so he has probably seen the mural.

Gary (and other readers)… Today I posted a photo of a mural painting somewhere in Mexico. See if you can guess where it is. (By the way, for some reason your Blogroll isn’t listing recent posts.)
