WordPress updated their editor earlier this year. Maybe it was last year. It passed me by a little. I was blogging on a different platform at the time. Some people like the new editor. Some people, predictably, dislike change. There’s always a learning curve. Some features of the new editor seem a little contrived. But there are more features under the bonnet. Take, for example, the ability to publish a slider operated image comparison tool. The photo is from the Victorian shopping arcade in Westbourne, my nearest town. It’s a nice little arcade with an interesting mix of shops, including a 19 seat cinema and a traditional hardware store.
I’ve gone a little OTT with the photo processing, just to make the difference between it and the original stand out. The photo was taken with an iPhone, which can’t quite compete with a proper camera in very dark environments. But it looks ok, so long as you don’t start pixel peeping…

Very nice Gary, I haven’t bothered doing any blogging whatsoever this year. Hopefully I’ll get back into it once lockdown slash vaccinations begin and we get to go a little further afield.
Thanks for sharing your forays and foraging with us the past few months. It’s been very refreshing seeing the antics over there.
I haven’t been near a city in months maybe even eighteen of them at least since I was in Vancouver last although we did get to go to our caravan on another island fortunately but there are advantages living out in the country with cheeses galore fresh veggies and vino to boot!
Carm and I wish you and your lady wife a wonderful and safe Christmas.

Its very easy to get caught up in assessing whether ones glass is half full or half empty. We get to the end of the year still with a glass in hand, ready to receive whatever 2021 brings. Let’s hope next year is a better vintage.
